What this notice covers
This notice covers the Aeranor alpha website, approved Android test builds and Aeranor Gateway. Aeranor remains in development. The notice will be updated before a broader or paid release.
Information you provide
The website stores alpha application answers, contact details, device information, agreement acceptance, owner review notes and protected tester feedback. The Android app stores pilot profiles, fleet records, flight logs and images primarily on your device. Do not enter information you are not authorised to collect or use.
Account and technical information
Approved testing uses Google/Firebase account identity, Firebase App Distribution, limited analytics and installation status. The website’s protected feedback and owner routes verify Firebase ID tokens and the website’s current approval records. Security logs may include timestamps, request metadata and temporary network identifiers. The public application form stores a one-way salted hash of the requesting address for short-term abuse control rather than retaining the address itself in the application record.
Weather and Gateway information
When weather is requested, Aeranor Gateway receives the approved installation credential, app version, coordinates and flight times required to fulfil and cache that request. Gateway sends the required coordinates and times to the configured weather provider. Weather records returned to the Android app are stored with the relevant flight log for later viewing.
Why information is used
Information is used to review and manage alpha access, distribute test builds, authorise installations, provide weather, secure the service, reproduce defects, respond to feedback, measure reliability and improve Aeranor. Alpha data is not sold and is not used for unrelated advertising.
Service providers
Cloudflare provides website delivery, protected access and hosted data services. Google Firebase provides authentication, app distribution and configured analytics. Open-Meteo provides weather data requested through Aeranor Gateway. Each provider may process the minimum information needed to deliver its part of the service under its own terms and privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
Application, access and feedback records are retained only while reasonably needed to run and document the alpha, resolve issues, protect the service and meet legal obligations. Device-local Aeranor records remain until you delete them or uninstall/clear the app. You may request access, correction, withdrawal or deletion by email; some security, agreement or operational records may need to be retained where permitted or required.
Security and international processing
Aeranor uses access controls, encrypted HTTPS transport, protected service credentials and limited administrative access. No system can guarantee absolute security. Service providers and testers may be located in different countries, so information may be processed outside your country while the alpha is operated.
Your choices
Alpha participation is optional. You may withdraw before or after approval by contacting Aeranor. Withdrawing ends access and may require uninstalling the alpha. You can decline optional Android permissions, although location, images or notifications will not work where those permissions are necessary.
